We think it's also a good choice for gaming, thanks to its fast refresh rate (120Hz) and support for 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD). If you plan on having your projector permanently mounted in your living room, without moving it at all, then you don’t really want an overly portable projector; just one that won’t take up too much space.
If you’re looking for a projector with good portability, you should look at models with a decent portability rate.
It should be easy to carry around wherever you go. For example, if you need to project something onto a wall, then you might want to consider using an overhead projector instead of a portable one.

Should I get a 4K projector?
If you aren’t convinced by any of these 4k projectors, then it might be worth considering which ones offer the best value for money.
With a standard flatscreen TV, you just plug it into a wall socket and it works. It offers a fixed screen size and usually has an HD resolution.
A projector can be useful for its portability, or the versatility of its picture, though they can be more difficult to calibrate, especially when trying to figure out where to position them in your house. They may be best positioned right up against a white or even greyish-colored surface, if an ultra-short throw projector, but if your walls are in any way uneven or yellowish, they won’t offer an ideal picture – in that situation, you may be better suited by a dedicated screen, though doing so defeats the purpose of ditching a television set.
Projectors are usually cheaper for lower resolution and non-HDR modes, but they’re often expensive if you want better quality than basic 1080p.
Despite its size and portability, however, the compact form and versatility that a projection system offers make it a good option for a lot of situations.

Ultra short-throws projectors usually come with a wide variety of technologies that greatly reduce the space required between the projector and the object it’s projecting onto (the walls, the projection screen, the ceiling, etc.).
A laser projector uses a short-distance mirror to project an image onto a screen. It usually leads to crisper images than a longer-range projector, but costs more.
Ultra Short Throw Projection (or UST) is certainly a great way to save space by keeping your projectors in the same place as you would keep a TV and making you less likely to run into issues when someone moves around the room.
It really comes down to whether you have the budget for an external projector and the space to fit one into your living room.
How big should my projector screen be?
A common question. It really depends on how large your living room is. If you want to project an image larger than 100 inches (that is, bigger than a 55-inches), then you need to measure the distance between your screen and the nearest corner of the room. You may need to buy a projector that has a smaller image size.
