It's official! The X1300i Projector is a true "PC Gaming" projector. At its heart is 4LED DLP technology which offers a longer lifespan and cooler operation than traditional lamps. A larger array of LEDs increases brightness over popular 3 LED projectors.
Brightness of 3000 lumens is a decent enough rating for projectors in its budget. Unfortunately, it's only a 720p projection system. Technically it is described with 4k resolution support, but don't be deceived, that just means you can enter at 4k and have it downscaled to 1080p. For the trouble, you'll also double the lag to 16.67ms so not something I would suggest.
It has a high resolution and rich color reproduction, which makes it seem less like you're playing games through a chiffon curtain than an open door into a video game universe. Even when watching TV shows or movies on it, the image seems so clear and detailed that it doesn't seem like you're looking at a screen through a chiffon curtain.
On the big screen, Hunt: Showdown looks fantastic. It doesn't suffer from any major ghostings or blurring, even at its highest contrasts (like an explosion going off) and it has enough resolution for you to spot distant objects clearly.
It has some good features, but it isn't worth the extra $200 if you're going to use it at a desk. If you want to move it around, though, then it might be worth it. You just need to make sure there's enough room for the projection screen.
With its excellent brightness, it should shine brightly even during daylight hours. However, if you're looking for something that shines brightest at night, then this projector will get the job done.
